Almost a year ago, I picked up a new hobby: making hair accessories. This seemed a little strange since my home consists of a sole female and five males who have no need nor desire for hair accessories. Be that as it may, this did not stop me from creating. At first I looked at headbands in the stores and thought, "I can do that!" The ones I spotted first included big silk flowers on elastic or plastic headbands. Indeed, I could do that. But as I began to search for new ideas, a comment on Etsy caught my attention. The buyer proudly assured the looker that her flowers were not simply store-bought silks, but rather hand-made! Alas, I met my challenge. From here on out I wanted to make my own flowers to attach to chips, pins, and head bands. And so it began, the first of the Norilynn trademark. At first, I was looking for little girls to wear my creations. Then I started designing them for myself. As I did this, others began seeing and showing an interest in my hair accessories and now I have reason to create! I LOVE designing these flowers and I LOVE giving them to gals who are excited to wear them.
I have had many friends ask me to teach them how to make some flowers. Now that I have started this blog, a flower tutorial just may be an upcoming post. So keep checking back, soon I will post a tutorial on how to create a flower of your own!
